Welcome to Life Centre

Bournemouth Lifecentre is one of the most unique and versatile conference and event venues in Dorset. With its distinctive range of rooms, large and small, the Life Centre can accommodate practically every client need from small business meetings, trade shows and product launches through to weddings, exhibitions and large scale conferences. 

With its adaptable seating and flexible facilities to accommodate anything from 10 to 1000 delegates, the Life Centre is a venue for all occasions. Our competitive Day Delegate rates can be tailored to meet your specific event requirements, and our experienced sales & events team is available to help make your event a success. 

This incredible art deco building opened in 1936 as The Moderne cinema operating until the mid 60’s when it was taken over by Coral and later Gala Bingo. Bournemouth Community Church (BCC), a charitable trust that owns Lifecentre, bought the premises in 2009 and started the extensive project to transform a tired old building to what is now a modern, vibrant community hub and events facility. 

To date, the BCC charitable trust have invested £2 million developing the site into the modern venue you see today, with further facilities coming on stream over the coming months and years.   The ethos of Lifecentre is for it to be used by the community, as a meeting place for community groups or for parties, wakes and weddings through to hosting commercial events & meetings.

HOMESAFE CRIME PREVENTION PROJECT

Homesafe is a crime prevention project raising awareness and providing solutions to help people feel safe and secure in their own home and local community.
